DARCY & JAZZ CO | LONDON, ENGLAND
Carol Cole is the owner and designer of Darcy & Jazz Jewellery. Based in South London, her background started out in a completely different sector. Working as a PA to board level TV and Radio MDs and VPs, she felt a change was needed, and her creative side desired an outlet. Carol enrolled on a course at Lambeth College, South London in 2006-07, where she completed the NCFE Level 1 and Level 2 Certificate in Creative Craft in Jewellery. This newfound hobby turned into a passion and over the years she continued learning and developing her craft through short courses. Creating her own jewellery and the comments she received was the driving force behind Carol's desire to create bespoke pieces that speak to the individual and so, birthed the creation of Darcy & Jazz Jewellery.
Carol is inspired by her African and Jamaican culture, celebrating what it means to be a black woman, mother, daughter and sista in this world. As a designer, Carol creates jewellery that empowers the multifaceted modern-day woman through bold contemporary design.
Darcy & Jazz Jewellery embraces an ethical approach to the jewellery making process. All silver and gold is recycled and the gemstones are sourced in the UK. Carol's jewellery is a combination of the traditional fused with modern design-tech, outsourcing production in London's Hatton Gardens to bring customers high quality craftsmanship. Carol creates jewellery to identify with the many sentiments and moments that have influenced our lives. A personal narrative that bucks the trend staying true to ones own individuality, creating legacys for today's modern woman. Individual style, passion for life and sense of strengths is deserving of acknowledgment and celebration for Darcy & Jazz Jewellery.
